Shvas ("श्वा", "we", "us") is a breathwork and pranayama guidance app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Shvas, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information: your email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Google.
Profile information: the details you provide during onboarding, such as your goal, experience level, and the results of self-assessments like the BOLT test and breath archetype quiz.
Session data: records of the techniques you practice, including duration, rounds completed, and the mood you log after a session.
Usage and device data: basic, anonymised analytics about how the app is used, and standard technical information needed to operate the service.
We use your information to provide and personalise the service — for example, to recommend techniques, track your streaks and progress, and save your settings. We also use it to maintain and improve the app, communicate with you about your account, and protect the security of the service.
Metrics such as your BOLT score and breath age are self-reported wellness indicators intended to help you observe your own practice. They are not medical measurements or diagnoses, and we do not treat them as health records.
Your data is stored securely on our hosting platform with access controls and encryption in transit. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We rely on trusted providers to operate the app, including hosting and authentication (Base44) and Google sign-in. These providers process only the data necessary to provide their service and are bound by their own privacy obligations. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can access, correct, or export your information at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. After deletion, some records may remain in backups for a limited period.
Shvas is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. If you have questions about your privacy, contact us at support@shvas.app.
